Church launches activities

VOLUNTEERS and participants are needed for two new projects being run for elderly people by Almondbury Methodist Church.

A lunch club will be launched on January 28 and will run every Monday.

The church is able to provide transport and will offer a range of activities.

There will also be the chance to eat a meal and meet new people.

The cost of the club will be £3.

The church is also offering a befriending scheme to encourage people to try new activities.

Volunteers are required for both schemes.

The time commitment can be from one hour each week.

All expenses are paid and training will be offered.
