Young pirates set sail at village junior school

SHIVER me timbers!

Children from Almondbury Junior School took to the high seas during a special Pirate Day.

The pupils of Year 5 – some of whom are pictured – celebrated what they had found out about pirates as part of their history topic, Tudor Exploration.

Events throughout the day included designing flags, making hats and drawing treasure maps.(S)
