HUDDERSFIELD MP Barry Sheerman has shown his support for Almondbury Library once again.
Mr Sheerman and the newly-formed campaigners, Friends of Almondbury Library, oppose the closure of the historic library which was built in 1904 by Scottish-American philanthropist Andrew Carniegie.
So far 600 residents have signed a petition to keep the library open.
Kirklees Council plans to move library facilities to a new Sure Start centre on the Fussey Allotments site.
