Farming duo met at works dance
A COUPLE who ran a Golcar farm for over 40 years are celebrating their golden wedding.
Edward and Joyce Walker, of Banks Avenue, Golcar, are pictured now and on their wedding day.
Mr Walker is 75 and Mrs Walker, 73. They met at a dance at David Brown Gears Park Works at Lockwood.
The couple ran Moorcroft Farm after taking it over from Mr Walker’s father.
They have two sons and a daughter, five grandsons and one grand-daughter.
They will be celebrating with a family lunch at the weekend.
