A MAN was beaten up and robbed of cash while walking through Dalton. The 25-year-old was walking on Kirkstone Avenue between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Friday when he was approached by two men. One punched him and the other took hold of him and kept him restrained while the first attacker searched his pockets. The pair made off with cash. The first suspect is described as a black male, 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing a cream hooded top and grey fabric masking his face. The second man was mixed race and 6ft tall. A 28-year-old man was robbed by three thieves on a path off Savile Road in Lindley just before 1.30pm yesterday. One man blocked his way while two more stood behind him. The man felt what could have been a weapon in his back. The thieves stole a small amount of cash before escaping. The first man is a pale-skinned mixed race man in his early 20s, 5ft 9ins and slim with a bald head and a short goatee beard. He wore a red hooded jacket and dark blue jeans. One accomplices is also a slim mixed race man, 5ft 9ins and he wore a black leather jacket. The third is white, in his mid 20s, 5ft 5ins and stocky.
