Crowning glory for Sunday School Queen Helen

FIFTEEN-year-old Helen Johnson, was crowned Sunday School queen at Moldgreen Congregational Church on Saturday evening by Mrs F Eastwood, a past scholar at the Sunday School. The retiring Queen, Miss Joan Lewis, 10, The Avenue, Moldgreen, also took part in the service.

Attending the new queen. from 431, Wakefield Road, Moldgreen, were Christine Greenwood, Anne Burt, June Nicholson, Janice Atkinson, Margaret Holdsworth, Linda Harford and Karen Armitage. The page was Stephen Kaye.

The ceremony was followed by a display of dancing and singing given by Miss Betty Burt’s dancing pupils.

The Minister, the Rev L T Johnson, thanked Miss Burt and the Sunday School teachers who had organised the event.
