NEWSOME South Methodist Church members held a friendly hour.

The speaker, Margaret Harling, gave a talk entitled Eighty Years On and Beryl Burgess gave a piano performance.

Florence Hoyle presided. A bring- and-buy sale was held to raise money for Network, a charity which helps disadvantaged women.
