STORYTELLER Ruth Boycott-Garnett visited Paddock Junior, Infant and Nursery school during its World Book Day celebrations.
Children dressed as their favourite book characters as part of the event, which included a visit to The Children’s Bookshop at Lindley to buy books.
There was also the chance to take part in a treasure hunt with a literary theme around school and involved solving puzzles of different types.
Children from Birdsedge First School used video conferencing and online forums to link up with their peers at Holmfirth Junior and Infants and Eaglesfield Paddle School in Cumbria as part of World Book day.
They wrote shared stories over the course of the day.
