MP donated to church refurbishment fund

BARRY Sheerman has donated money to help refurbish Huddersfield Parish Church.
The Huddersfield MP gave £250 to the Cornerstone Appeal.
He saved the money by sending email Christmas cards last year.
The Vicar of Huddersfield Canon Catherine Ogle thanked Mr Sheerman.
She said: “We are very grateful for the support.
“We have now completed Phase 1 of Cornerstone which involved preserving the fabric and heritage of the church by repairing the roof, tower and balcony.
“Everything is secure and watertight now and we look forward to moving on to Phase 2 which will involve the development and improvement of the church.”
