TWO men stole savings from a 92-year-old woman after posing as water workers.
The pair had earlier failed to trick their way into a nearby home pretending to be workmen wanting to clear guttering.
The elderly woman answered her door on Grange Avenue in Marsden shortly after 10am yesterday.
The two men claimed to be workers who had put dye in the water at a nearby house and wanted to check if it had come through the system.
While one of the men took the victim upstairs to turn taps on his accomplice ransacked drawers and cupboards downstairs and found the money.
Both are white and aged between 30 and 35.
One wore a black leather coat and the other wore a brown leather coat and is stockily built.
