A MOTORIST is angry after she was accused of using a fake pound coin. Ann Mosley from Primrose Hill had parked at Queensgate multi-storey car park. She said: “I was gone for less than an hour to go to Wilkinsons and the market. When I got back to the car park I put my pound in the machine and got 10p back. But when I drove down to the barrier and put my ticket in it wouldn’t let me out.” The 63-year-old approached a parking attendant for help. Mrs Mosley said: “He said I had either put in a fake pound coin or a 10p piece. I thought he would just let me out but he wouldn’t budge. I had to go back to the machine and pay again.” A Kirklees Council spokesman said that no complaint had been made about the incident, which happened on March 6. Read
