High Sheriff’s final event

THE High Sheriff of West Yorkshire, Gay Hartley MBE, ended her term of office by holding a luncheon at Huddersfield University.

Mrs Hartley, who was the High Sheriff for 2007/2008, hosted luncheons in Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Leeds and Bradford.

She said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my term.

“You get to meet such a lot of people who are normally outside your sphere.’’
