Walkers with a spring in their steps

VISITORS are being invited to celebrate the start of spring at Oakwell Hall, Birstall.

Head ranger Richard Aspinall plans to show visitors the first signs of spring on a guided walk around the 100 acre park on Sunday.

The two-hour walk will start from the visitor centre courtyard. It is not recommended for young children.

Places must be booked.

Fun is also on offer for the younger generation over Easter.

There will be quizzes around the historic hall and its gardens. The theme of the quiz in the hall will be spring cleaning and the outdoor questions will be themed around flowers.

Quiz sheets can be obtained from the visitor centre shop and the hall.
