Come on children, time to meet the dragon!
Mar 21 2008 by Emma Davison, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
CHILDREN are being invited to join an egg hunt with a difference.
To celebrate spring a dragon eggs hunt will be held on Castle Hill at Almondbury in April.
Youngsters will be able to search for eggs hidden on the hill and meet its very own dragon, which has come out of hibernation and needs a spring makeover!
The dragon is a paper mache model that was made during summer activity sessions at the hill a few years ago. He spends the winter at the Tolson Museum, Moldgreen, and returns to the hill in spring to add atmosphere to the place of his ancestors.
Children will be able to help spruce up the dragon ready for another summer on the hill.
The free event takes place on Wednesday, April 2, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and will need suitable outdoor shoes and waterproof clothing.
Places must be booked; phone the Tolson Museum on 01484 223830.
