A CONFERENCE about how to tackle extremism is to be held in Dewsbury.
The event, Preventing Extremism Together, will be held at the Town Hall from 9.30am to 3.45pm on March 30.
It has been organised by the Association of West Yorkshire Authorities.
The aim is to explore how Muslim communities are addressing issues such as extremism and how mosques can spread positive messages of Islam.
The conference will also focus on how Muslim communities can work with councils and other groups to promote cohesion.
Speakers will include West Yorkshire Chief Constable Sir Norman Bettison and Paul Rogerson, chief executive of Leeds Council.
