TWO American footballers were among 100 young people to be honoured for their voluntary work at a Galpharm Stadium ceremony.
Haydn Stead, 19, and Julien Boville, 25, both of Newsome, raised cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care and trained local youngsters to fitness.
The pair took part in Millennium Volunteers, a scheme to encourage 16 to 25-year-olds to devote some of their spare time to good causes.
Also honoured were Huddersfield Hawks cheerleaders and volunteers Lauren Stewart, from Moldgreen, and Louisa Lockton, of Lowerhouses, both 19.
