HE’S a Time Lord, with his own unique way of travelling.

But is Doctor Who about to trade in his Tardis?

He could be swapping the familiar blue police box – for a Sheepridge girl’s Renault Clio!

The student’s car will appear in the hit BBC show after it was spotted on a Huddersfield street.

Slaithwaite-based Vehicles in Vision asked Jo Neary if they could borrow her Renault Clio for an episode of Doctor Who.

The 19-year-old from Sheepridge said: “I was visiting my sister Clare in Newsome when someone from the company approached me and asked if I would like the car to be on the telly. I was shocked at first.”

Jo, who studies beauty therapy at Huddersfield Technical College, bought the car for £1,000 three months ago.

She said: “It’s just a Renault Clio but it’s got blacked-out windows and a big exhaust, which must have been what they were looking for.”

She drove the car to Vehicles in Vision’s office in Slaithwaite on March 12. The company provides cars for television, film and adverts.

Jo said: “They drove it down for filming in Cardiff. They wouldn’t tell me about the scene except to say that there was a girl hanging out of my sunroof.”

She was paid £75 for lending the car to the company for the day.

And Jo is looking forward to seeing her Clio on screen when the new series of Doctor Who starts next month. She said: “I’m not a fan of the show to be honest, but I’ll be watching to see the scene with my car.”
