FOUR bus passengers were thrown from their seats after the driver braked to avoid a crash in Huddersfield.
Two elderly passengers and two young people suffered minor injuries after the bus they were on narrowly avoided smashing into a car which suddenly stopped in front of it.
The incident happened at 12.47pm yesterday on Manchester Road at its junction near to Longroyd Bridge.
Road traffic police were called and they said that greasy conditions led to the First Bus driver having to slam on his brakes much harder than normal to avoid hitting the car in front.
All of the passengers were given first aid by paramedics but none were taken to hospital.
