Students win top placements

HUDDERSFIELD University students have won prestigious work placements.

Interior design students will work for Fitch, a multi-disciplinary design consult-ancy firm.

Final year student Jennifer Robinson is already on a placement with the international company, which has been a leader in the field for 30 years.

Rod Adams, senior lecturer in architecture and design at the university, welcomed the development.

He said: “We are very pleased to be involved with Fitch.

“The increasing interest over the last couple of years from these prestigious international companies, and in particular from Fitch, shows they recognise the potential of Huddersfield’s students.”

Mike Roberts of Fitch said: “We’ve been really pleased with the work which Jennifer has produced for us and we’re looking forward to working with more Huddersfield students.”
