Shooting trial delay

A TRIAL for attempted murder was postponed while police hunted a man who is believed to have skipped bail.

Bradley Okoro, 21, of Linthwaite, was absent from Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

But co-defendants Carl Hughes, 31, of Fartown, and James Collier, 26, from Taylor Hill, appeared.

All three are charged in connection with an alleged shooting on Cross Church Street in Huddersfield town centre last spring.

A Sheffield man suffered a head injury when shots were allegedly fired at 4am on Saturday, April 22.

Police, who released a photo of Okoro yesterday, said they were keen to trace him.

Judge Stephen Gullick remanded Hughes and Collier for trial next Monday.
