Young woman falls to her death at flats
A YOUNG woman has been killed in a fall tragedy at a Huddersfield block of flats.
Police were called to Lonsbrough Flats on Southgate near Huddersfield town centre shortly before noon yesterday after getting reports that a woman was threatening to jump.
But minutes later she fell to her death from the seventh floor.
It is understood she was declared dead at the scene.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.’’
The area around the flats was sealed off in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.
