A CASHIER was hurt in a petrol station robbery early today. The man was hit in the face by gunmen who walked into the Shell service station on Westbourne Road in Marsh at 4.50am. The two masked thieves escaped with cash. The victim was bleeding from the nose, but was not thought to be badly hurt. The Shell shop was closed and the forecourt sealed off by police for several hours while a forensic examination of the scene could take place in daylight. A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Although this happened very early this morning, it may be someone saw the thieves hanging around near the petrol station before the raid or escaping afterwards.” Read
