Children get into character for their book fair day

HUNDREDS of children have dressed up as book characters.
About 500 pupils at Dalton Junior, Infant and Nursery School took part in the event.
Teacher Louise Farrar said: “It was a way to get the children interested in reading. The day went really well.”
Best dressed prizes went to Matthew Shufflebotham of Year 1 who wore a cowboy costume, Year 4’s Joseph Crossley who was dressed as a pirate and Billie-Jo Ward of Year 5 who wore a Tinkerbell costume.
Last Thursday’scostume day was part of a book fair at the school.
