DRIVERS are being denied parking spaces, a councillor has said. Clr Linda Wilkinson of Almondbury wants Kirklees to remove yellow lines from Northgate. The bus stop opposite All Hallows’ Church was removed last year - but the no parking lines remain. Clr Wilkinson said: “The bus stop is long since gone so there is no excuse for the council to take so long to remove the double yellow lines. They are taking up three valuable parking spaces and I know of at least one resident who has been given a ticket for parking there.” Read
