POLICE have re-issued an appeal for witnesses after a man died in a motorway accident. Felix Vella, 40, of Hawkhill Gardens, Crossgates in Leeds was killed near junction 47 of the M1 on Tuesday June 3. He had stopped on the hard shoulder between junctions 46 and 47 at about 12.50pm in a white Transit van. He got out of the van and was then hit by a vehicle in lane one of the motorway and is understood to have been killed instantly. He was wearing a high-visibility jacket at the time of the tragedy.
