WEST Yorkshire Police have teamed up with other forces and the UK Border Agency to combat immigration crime.
The pilot NICT (North-East, Yorkshire and the Humber Immigration Crime Team) will tackle illegal immigration and immigrant crime.
The partnership, which includes police from Yorkshire, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland and Northumberland, aims to remove criminal immigrants and prevent activities such as people trafficking.
