Rotary Club presents cash for good causes
HUDDERSFIELD Rotary Club president Julian Holroyd has presented cheques to six charities and good causes.
The club raised cash for the causes during Mr Holroyd’s 12-month presidency.
Cheques were presented to KRAFT (Kirklees Refugees and Friends Together), Kirkwood Hospice and the Safe Anchor Trust.
Also gaining cheques were:
Students of Greenhead College, who will build an orphanage in Namibia this summer;
Liz Heywood, who this summer with students from Huddersfield New College, will visit Kosovo to work with students and children who lost a parent or both parents during the Yugoslav war;
Georgina Milner, of Greenhead College, who will undertake activities under the Rotary Youth Leaders Award course run every summer at Hebden Bridge.
