SHE’S top of the lollipops!

Carolynn White has been crowned the Kirklees area’s favourite school crossing patroller for helping children who attend Honley CE Junior School.

She was nominated by children, staff and parents.

School headteacher Steve Price said: “In addition to her school crossing patrol duties, she is also a lunchtime supervisor and has won a local award for the role.

“Everyone in the community really appreciates her hard work and efforts. She thoroughly deserves this accolade.”

Her award formed part of a Loveliest Lollipop Person competition organised by Warburtons bakery.

The company gave her a breakfast hamper as a prize.

Warburton sales manager Tom Sugden said: “We have met many lovely school crossing patrollers.

“Come rain or shine they are all there to support their school.”
