Gun gang hold up popular pub

GUN-WIELDING robbers forced a terrified manageress to open a pub safe before fleeing with thousands of pounds.

The pub declined to comment.

After the incident, a police dog handler arrived, followed by armed response teams.

Halifax CID are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 11.28pm.

Police are re-appealing for information following an armed robbery in Cleckheaton.

A man who covered his face with a beanie hat and sunglasses entered Cash Now on Albion Street and threatened staff a handgun.

It happened about 1pm on June 19.

No-one was injured, but the man made off with cash.

He was white, just over 5ft and of medium build.
