Vehicles from a bygone age
A VINTAGE machinery day is hoping to bring in funds for a local church in desperate need of repair work.
The day long event at Denroyd Farm, Upper Denby, on September 20 will see dozens of vintage lorries, cars, and tractors all on show, as well as entertainment in the evening, including a barn dance, hog roast and bar.
All proceeds from the event will go to Denby Church tower restoration.
Organiser John Ward, said: “This is our second year running and we are hoping for as big a success as last year.
“It is important we raise as much funds as possible so we can restore the tower of Denby Church, which is a big part of our local community.
“We have a great line-up of entertainment, so as long as the weather stays nice, I am confident it will be another successful year.”
Entry fee into Vintage Machinery Day is £2.50, with under-16s able to go for free.
Camping is also available for those really wanting to make a full day of it and gates open at 10am.
