Mournian murderer jailed for 15 years but 'not sorry'

EVIL Kevin Newton will serve more than 15 years behind bars for murdering prostitute Sarah Mournian.

The Birkby drug addict was sentenced to 15 years and two months for killing the mother-of-one and burying her body in the cellar of his home.

Her remains lay hidden for five months, despite a huge police investigation.

The 40-year-old killer showed no emotion as he was led away from the dock at Leeds Crown Court as Miss Mournian’s family and friends watched.

The public gallery was filled with the dead woman’s family and friends, including her mother Margaret and brother Martin

Newton, of Grisedale Avenue – who was wearing a dark suit and tie – will be kept behind bars until the Parole Board considers it safe to release him.
