Good turnout for show
FLOWERS and vegetables were on show at the 67th annual Meltham show.
Residents of all ages submitted entries to the flower and vegetable show, with prizes going to the biggest and best on items on display.
Children also took part in the show, creating their own mini-gardens and painting eggs.
Organiser Anne Jones said: “We had 272 exhibits which included the work of many children.
“There was a whole range of items on show, from leeks and onions to floral arrangements. It was a lovely day and we had a good turnout.”
As well as flowers and vegetables, there were homemade cakes and hand-crafted cards.
The event took place on Saturday at the Village Hall on Greens End Road.
