Student TV licensing warning
Sep 10 2008 by Hazel Ettienne, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
STUDENTS in Huddersfield are being urged to sort out bill payments as they move into shared accommodation.
Around 4,200 second years are due to start their studies next month and TV Licensing is urging them to take responsibility for bill payment and avoid household conflict and possible fines.
Research by TV Licensing says more than a third of students across Yorkshire in shared accommodation have had a household argument over payment of bills.
With the majority of students planning to use either a TV or PC/laptop to watch TV at university, it has set up a website giving advice and help to students about buying a license on time. Log on to: www.tvlicensing.co.uk/students2008
