VISITORS enjoyed the annual Heritage Open Days at the weekend.
More than 100 historic sites across West Yorkshire welcomed people for free from Thursday to yesterday.
Colne Valley Museum, Lindley Clock Tower and Castle Hill were among the many attractions in and around Huddersfield to take part in the English Heritage event.
St Thomas’s Church on Manchester Road, which was built in 1859, was one of several churches taking part.
Father Leslie Pinfield said: “We had a steady stream of visitors to the church including people from Meltham, Lepton and Leeds. Many of the visitors have been interested in our stained-glass windows which were made by leading Victorian artists.”
