Historic Huddersfield goes back in time for Heritage days

Meanwhile, Meltham and District Civic Society displayed their archives and old photographs at the town hall on Saturday and yesterday.
Victoria Tower at Castle Hill was also open yesterday – for the last time until next Easter.
Many other historical sites in Kirklees took part in the Heritage Open Days, including Longley Old Hall, Lindley Clock Tower, Red House Museum in Gomersal and Holmfirth’s old jail known as ‘Ow’d towser’.
