FRIENDS and family of a Deighton mother who died of cancer are organising a charity walk in her memory.
Sheree Stoker died in April of brain cancer aged just 31. She was the mother to seven-year-old Aimee.
Her friends decided to hold a charity event to raise money for three causes close to her heart.
The 10k walk will support Cancer Research, Macmillan Nurses and Kirkwood Hospice and will take place in October.
Her close friend Donna Colan, who now lives in Cheshire, said: “I’ve known Sheree since she was about eight or nine.
“She was a close family friend and we grew up knowing each other.
“When she passed away in April a group of her friends decided we wanted to do something in memory of her.
“Hopefully we can raise a lot of money in her name for the three charities.”
