Bar plan is 'threat to Castle Hill site'

Clr Ken Simms, Kirklees Council’s Cabinet member for regeneration, said English Heritage had been given two years to comment on the proposals for St George’s Square but had failed to do so.

He added: “Clr Smithson knows full well that English Heritage will have to be on board with any development that takes place on Castle Hill.”
