Man banned from pub after glass attack on barmaid
Sep 18 2008 by Joanne Douglas, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
“As she was about to ask for help she felt a blow to the back of her neck.
“She described the force as being so strong like she has been hit with a fist.
“In fact he had thrown a glass which had struck the back of her neck and it shattered on the ground.”
Yhihid left the pub but was quickly picked up by police who were abused by the defendant.
Jonathan Slawinski, defending, said: “He threw the glass not meaning for it to hit her.”
Magistrates heard that Yhihid had seven previous convictions, three of which occurred when he had been drinking.
The court imposed a 12 month community service order with 150 hours of unpaid work and banned him from going to The Bridge for 12 months.
