School bus driver honoured after helping kids off danger vehicle

A HUDDERSFIELD bus driver has been honoured nationally for saving children from harm.

Habib Ramzam managed to get youngsters off his school bus after an electrical fault caused smoke to seep through the vehicle.

He won the Superstars competition for First Bus in Huddersfield and Calderdale for his quick-thinking actions and has now been named runner-up in the national First competition.

He won £500 in the Huddersfield competition and a further £250 for coming second in the national one.

The presentation was held at the Hilton Hotel at Manchester Airport.
