School bus driver honoured after helping kids off danger vehicle

“To be honest I only did what any good human would have done in the circumstances, which is to help young children in a potentially tricky situation.’’

Alan Philbeam, managing director for First in Huddersfield and Calderdale, said: I’m delighted that Habib’s quick-thinking act has been rewarded, and I hope the public feel assured that our bus drivers will always be on hand to help them or their families if needed.’’

Nomination forms for next year’s awards are now available on First buses and at bus stations throughout Yorkshire.
