See artists at work on Huddersfield Open Studio Trail

HUDDERSFIELD is this month to reveal the full extent of artistic talent it is harbouring.

The fifth Huddersfield Open Studio Trail will take place over two weekends – September 20 and 21 and September 27 and 28.

Studios and workshops all over the district will open to the public for the event.

In the 22 venues, visitors will be able to watch artists work, chat to them about their creations and, in some venues, try their hand at art work.

Talent is set to be discovered in places as diverse as old mills, stables and even attics.

Creations on show range from chainshaw sculptures and metal work to paintings, jewellery, textiles and ceramics.

Among the artists exhibiting work is Jim Robison, whose Booth House Pottery at Holmfirth has a gallery with one of the largest displays of ceramics in the country.
