STANDEDGE Tunnel – the highest, longest and deepest canal tunnel in Britain – will be a TV star on a programme about rivers.
The tunnel was the scene for an episode of a new BBC television series, Rivers, presented by award-winning actor Griff Rhys Jones (pictured).
Filming began on board the Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre boat in Marsden. The crew embarked on a journey through the tunnel to Diggle.
