XL collapse: Big Greek wedding is ON

THE Greek wedding of a Dalton couple will now go ahead despite the collapse of the tour operator XL in the UK.

Julie Brammall and Tony Richards feared their wedding would be cancelled – they lost their wedding package deal when the travel firm went bust last week.

But Kirkburton travel agent Travel Experience stepped in after reading the story in last week’s Examiner and offered to help the couple.

They have since found the marriage documents which were submitted to Lindos Town Hall by Kosmar, part of the XL company.

It means the beachside wedding can now go ahead next month.
