Water burst in road
AROUND 1,500 homes and a school were left without water after a water main burst today.
The burst at Wakefield Road in Moldgreen also caused problems for drivers – and that was looking set to continue throughout the day.
Immediately after the nine-inch pipe burst in the early hours of this morning, police had to close both lanes of the A629 Wakefield Road heading out of town, but it was reopened in time for the morning rush-hour.
