Mum’s recipe for helping hospital

HUDDERSFIELD businesswoman Katie Taylor has launched her second book aimed at raising awareness of a disease which affects her youngest son.

Katie has already raised more than £25,000 for studies into the condition lymphoedema, which causes swelling in the limbs or other parts of the body.

Katie’s son George was diagnosed with the condition four years ago.

Her first book offered help and advice to families.

Now her second book, entitled By George ... It’s Scrummy, is a cookery book with more than 100 delicious recipes aimed at families, with some that children can cook themselves.

The book was launched yesterday at Cragrats Brasserie near Hepworth.

Colin Alderson, former pastry chef to the Queen, attended the event which included a drinks reception and three-course lunch.
