New pavilion opens at sports ground

A BRAND new pavilion has been unveiled at a Moldgreen recreation ground.

The new changing pavilion at Standiforth Recreation Ground was officially opened on Saturday by Clr Liz Smaje, Kirklees Council cabinet member for leisure services.

The pavilion will offer changing facilities for up to eight teams and replaces the old outdated changing areas.

In total it cost more than £200,000 to build.

Huddersfield South Area Committee put £80,000 to the cost of the new building.
