Firebugs torch cars and bins in spate of arson attacks

When they arrived at Quarry Hill in Waterloo they found two burning cars about 40ft apart.

One was a Ford Ka which was engulfed in flames, scorching a Ford Focus parked next to it.

The other was a Vauxhall Zafira which was badly damaged by fire.

A new BMW was found burning on Elland Lane in Elland at 12.30am today.

The car was destroyed.

Police are investigating all the arsons.
