BRITAIN’S first Muslim Minister Shahid Malik today welcomed his promotion in Gordon Brown’s ministerial reshuffle.
The Dewsbury MP said he hoped to make Britain “a more just society” in his new role as a minister in Department for Justice.
He said: “I am blessed to have been International Development Minister for 15 months and was delighted that the Prime Minister had sufficient confidence in me to promote me to the Justice Ministry.
