Doing as Romans do
PUPILS at Moldgreen Community Primary School tried ‘Latin’ for a day.
The school kitchen won an Italian chef for the day in a competition.
And Grange Moor chef and restaurant owner Orlando Gubbini spent the day in the kitchen making pasta bolognese, vegetarian bolognese and tiramisu for pudding.
Kitchen supervisor Andrea Kitson and her team won the competition organised by Kirklees Catering Services at Easter.
They created an Easter display including pear bunnies on a lawn of green jelly, Easter buns and rabbit biscuits.
The Italian lunch had been organised for a couple of weeks, but the school was closed for the day following a burst water main on Wakefield Road.
