ASBO dad banned from kids' school

A FATHER who terrified staff at his children’s school has been banned from setting foot on the premises.
And the action taken against 35-year-old Wayne Edmund is thought to be the first of its kind.
Edmund, who had four children at Holmfirth Junior, Infant and Nursery School, hurled abuse at staff and parents at the school – many times in the playground in front of young children.
He threatened one teacher in front of her class, vowed he would kill another, used foul language in the school car park and threatened other parents.
But yesterday Kirklees Council was granted the right to ban Edmund from going anywhere near the school.
Huddersfield magistrates granted an interim anti-social behaviour order (Asbo), immediately banning the man of Leeds Road, Huddersfield, from entering the school or its grounds and behaving in a threatening way anywhere in Kirklees.
The ban is temporary, but a hearing will take pace to determine whether a full Asbo should be granted.
